Learn to Skate Coordinator, LTS Coach
Ryan began roller skating at the age of 4. By age 8, he was competing in Figures, Dance, and Pairs Dance at the regional level in California placing 3rd in both Figures and Dance. At age 11, his figure skating coach relocated and he continued to skate recreationally until age 19.
After battling serious health conditions, Ryan decided to begin ice skating in 2018 with the encouragement of his spouse. Ice skating proved vital in his physical rehabilitation and greatly improved his overall mental health. In 2018 he began testing in Ice Dance, Free Dance, and Moves in the Field.
In 2019 Ryan became the Coordinator for the Learn to Skate program with the hopes of bringing the benefits and joys of skating to Juneau.

Group classes are the core of the Juneau Skating Club Learn to Skate USA Program. Along with group classes all students are encouraged to participate in our annual Compete USA Competition and Spring Show.
