Dynamic skating classes for youth and adults at beginner and intermediate levels, featuring engaging lessons and practice sessions over six weeks, designed to enhance skills and earn PE credits in a supportive environment.
Express Yourself Through Skating and Skill Development
General Info:
- Home School Basic Skills Classes are open to youth and adult beginner and intermediate level students.
- Classes will consist of 30 minutes of lesson and 30 minutes of practice for 6 consecutive weeks (1 session)
- The registration fee is $80.00 per session if you register and complete payment online by the early registration deadline.
- There is an additional $10.00 added to all registrations after the early registration deadline. The early registration deadline is the Monday before classes start.
Any of the classes that the Juneau Skating Club offers may be used for home school PE credits. Simply inform the registrar that you would like a receipt for your class payment when you check in on the first day of class each session. Your receipt will be emailed to you.
Home School Learn to Skate Classes are:
Tuesday 9:45-10:45am
Session Dates:
Session 1: Sept 1 – Oct 11
Sessions 2-4 have been cancelled due to low enrollment, but all of the same Learn To Skate lessons are offered on Fridays and Saturdays. Hope to see you then!
Other Classes
Group classes are the core of the Juneau Skating Club Learn to Skate USA Program. Along with group classes all students are encouraged to participate in our annual Compete USA Competition and Spring Show.
The program offers classes, club ice, competitions, USFS testing, shows, and performance opportunities. Skaters can join after completing Learn to Skate class and becoming a club member.
