Aliyah started skating in the 4 th grade. She has passed her Novice Moves in the Field test and her Pre-Juvenile free skate test and is currently working on her Junior and Senior Moves in the Field tests. She is a member of Team Forget-Me-Not, Juneau’s synchronized skating team, and enjoys the many challenges
that skating brings.
Aliyah spent several years helping as an assistant in the Learn to Skate program before teaching as a Learn to Skate Instructor. She is now a USFSA coach with a PSA membership and teaches group figure skating classes as well as private or semi-private lessons. Aliyah Overturf's classes
Group classes are the core of the Juneau Skating Club Learn to Skate USA Program. Along with group classes all students are encouraged to participate in our annual Compete USA Competition and Spring Show.
The program offers classes, club ice, competitions, USFS testing, shows, and performance opportunities. Skaters can join after completing Learn to Skate class and becoming a club member.
