Carly first started skating after watching the Juneau Skating Club’s annual holiday show. Afterwards, her mom signed her up for Learn to Skate lessons – she was 6 years old. Since then, she has continued to skate and has advanced through many disciplines of figure skating. She enjoys freestyle, synchronized skating, and moves in the field. Carly is currently working on her Novice moves in the field test with hopes of passing her senior moves test by the time she graduates high school in the Spring of 2023.
Carly also enjoys sharing her love of skating to others by coaching Learn to Skate lessons, private lessons, and group figure skating classes. She hopes to continue skating and coaching after high school.

Group classes are the core of the Juneau Skating Club Learn to Skate USA Program. Along with group classes all students are encouraged to participate in our annual Compete USA Competition and Spring Show.
The program offers classes, club ice, competitions, USFS testing, shows, and performance opportunities. Skaters can join after completing Learn to Skate class and becoming a club member.
