Sigrid grew up dancing and skiing, then started skating when Treadwell Arena opened. She was delighted to discover that skating was essentially a blend of these two sports and hasn’t looked back since. Currently working on Adult Gold Moves in the Field, Pre-Gold Pattern Dance, and Silver Free Dance (with partner Ryan Kauzlaurich), she serves as an example that skating is a sport you can continue for life. She is a past JSC president and currently serves as the JSC SafeSport Chair. Sigrid coaches adult learn-to-skate classes, serves as the skate tech for the club, and is training to be a US Figure Skating judge.

When she isn’t skating, she works as a hazardous materials engineer, goes sailing, and is a pyrotechnician on the Juneau Fireworks Crew.
